About
An independent studio that ships.
ByteKnot Labs started with a simple idea: build the tools we wished existed, then offer that same craft to other people. We are engineers and designers who like finished things.
Story
The first thing we built was for ourselves. Streaming a mobile game into OBS Studio meant buying a capture card or wrestling with flaky mirroring apps, so we wrote ByteMirror to connect phones over USB and Wi-Fi directly. It became a product.
ByteLoader followed the same path. Signing and installing IPA files on iOS was either expensive or needlessly complicated, so we made a free signer that respects your keys and your device.
Along the way, people started asking us to build for them. Today ByteKnot Labs splits its time between its own products and custom work for clients: products, projects and web applications, all held to the same standard.
Values
How we think about the work.
Small on purpose
A small team means the person you talk to is the person who builds it. No account managers, no hand-offs, no telephone game.
We use what we ship
ByteMirror and ByteLoader exist because we needed them. Running real products keeps our engineering honest.
Minimal by default
We remove before we add. Fewer screens, fewer options, fewer dependencies. What remains gets all the attention.
Honest pricing
Free means free. Fixed scope means fixed price. We would rather say no early than surprise you late.
